2024 Maserati GranCabrio

The 2024 Maserati GranCabrio: A Blend of Luxury and Sport

The 2024 Maserati GranCabrio is a car that effortlessly combines the sporting and luxury attributes of its GranTurismo coupe sibling. This model replaces the coupe’s rakish metal roof with a power-folding fabric convertible top.

Design and Performance

The GranCabrio borrows most of the coupe’s classically seductive shape below the sills. It retains the sparkling twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6, eight-speed automatic, and standard all-wheel drive. The convertible was envisioned from day one of the model’s development. The chassis, which makes extensive use of aluminum and magnesium, remains stout.

Convertible Top

The fabric top was chosen over a folding hardtop as its flexibility helps to preserve as much rear passenger and cargo room as possible. The top retracts in 14 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph. A standard “air scarf” circulates warm air at neck level to keep front occupants toasty. An optional windstopper subdues turbulence when the top is down but renders the rear seat unsuitable for passengers.

What’s New for 2024?

While the Maserati GranCabrio is technically a new model, it’s essentially a drop-top version of the GranTurismo coupe that returned to market in late 2023 as a 2024 model. The top is available in five different colors to accent the choice of six standard body colors.

Pricing and Availability

The price of the 2024 Maserati GranCabrio is expected to start around $197,000. At launch, the GranCabrio will be available exclusively in the top-spec Trofeo trim with the same 542-hp twin-turbo V-6 as the Trofeo Coupe.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The GranCabrio gets the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine as the GranTurismo coupe. Rated for 542 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque, the engine is a detuned version of the MC20 sports car’s twin-turbo V-6 engine. An eight-speed automatic is the sole transmission option. The GranCabrio comes with four driving modes: comfort, GT, sport, and corsa.

The 2024 Maserati GranCabrio is a testament to Maserati’s commitment to delivering vehicles that provide a blend of luxury and sport. With its stunning design, powerful performance, and innovative features, the GranCabrio is set to make a significant impact in the luxury convertible market.
