Highlights
- Max Verstappen from Red Bull Racing set the pace, clocking a time of 1:28.412.
- Charles Leclerc from Ferrari was just under two-tenths behind Verstappen.
- Sergio Perez, also from Red Bull Racing, secured the third position.
- George Russell from Mercedes was fourth, followed closely by Lando Norris from McLaren.
- Zhou Guanyu from Sauber had a severe crash, causing a stoppage for around 10 minutes.
- Carlos Sainz from Ferrari was replaced by reserve driver Oliver Bearman due to appendicitis. Bearman finished an impressive 10th.
- The Red Bull car was tested with a new cooling system.
