2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB: A Modern Electric Superstar

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB is here, with a few minor changes. This little electric SUV from Mercedes debuted for the 2022 model year, so it’s nice to see Mercedes already modernizing it.

Exterior updates

The EQB features a redesigned grille and front bumper design. The grille now comes standard with the Mercedes-EQ family style, which has a black panel covered in stars. The grille may be customized with either black or chrome stars, and the redesigned front bumper is designed to accentuate the breadth of the front end. Mercedes has updated the bulbs within the full-width taillight to give it a fresh look. This small tweak, along with two new hues, Starling Blue and Cirrus Silver, completes the external updates.

Interior and technology upgrades

Mercedes is making its large 10.25-inch touchscreen display, which runs the Zero Layer MBUX software, standard equipment. This includes a variety of new features such as wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, extra display mode styles, a better voice assistant, and the opportunity to unlock even more capabilities through over-the-air upgrades. For example, the EQB includes two “Sound Experiences,” but consumers may unlock two more by purchasing them from the Mercedes Me shop. In terms of sound, the EQB adds Dolby Atmos technology to its optional Burmester audio system, which improves the whole audio experience by making it more real and accurate.

Another significant technological advancement is the addition of “Plug & Charge” feature, which allows you to just plug in and start charging without having to swipe a card or activate a charger using an app on specific chargers. A new range monitoring tool will allow you to know exactly which system is utilizing the battery, allowing you to limit its utilization and perhaps increase range. Finally, Mercedes claims to have upgraded its driver aid systems with a new mono multi-purpose camera and backup camera.

Powertrain and Availability

The settings of the powertrain have not been altered. Two all-wheel-drive versions, the more powerful EQB 350 4Matic and the front-drive EQB 250+, will still be available to you. While official EPA range numbers are still pending, we anticipate that they will be close to or identical to the existing car’s 250-mile limit for the 250+ model. The maximum DC fast charging speed is still 100 kW. It’s still possible to convert the EQB into a seven-seater by adding the optional third row, in case you were wondering.

In the first half of 2024, Mercedes says, the upgraded 2024 EQB will be on sale.

Conclusion

Mercedes’ dedication to innovation and environmentally friendly driving is demonstrated by the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB. It is still a strong alternative in the electric SUV market because to its updated appearance, cutting-edge technology features, and available engine combinations.
